Things are not as they seem.   

Presently all Black mainstream media images, statistics, and societal narratives are controlled exclusively by white people. This means that white people literally owns Black people’s interpretation of themselves. They learned a long time ago that negatively controlling what Black people believes about ourselves collectively makes us much easier to control.
